Behind the products is one man: Jan Goddefroy. This passionate Belgian is first and foremost a birdwatcher and nature photographer. He combined his passion for nature to the outdoor industry, which has been his business for 25 years. Keeping up with the trends on the market for photography and travel equipment has always come natural to him, as has remaining critical, and testing new gear.
Camera gear weighs a lot. And as a nature photographer, I walk a lot. In forests, mountains and of course airports.
I love shooting animals, landscapes, macro, … so I stuff my backpack with all sorts of lenses and cameras. Usually at least 15 kg of toys. I love shooting with my big long and heavy 600mm lens. I take this lens all over the world, and there are not a lot of camera bags that can hide this monstrous lens safely, combined with a bunch of other gear.
My Boris Backpack takes almost all the gear I need, and the zippers on the back give it fantastic features: it never makes my Gore-Tex jackets dirty, and if I ever forget to close the zipper while wearing the bag, nothing falls out. It is also very safely closed so no-one gets in if, say, you’re walking around in a busy airport.
I have taken been the Boris bag with me for years now, and can’t imagine using another bag anymore. Highly recommended!
